Hello to Parents and Students!
Welcome to my class and to my website.
I am excited to be at John B. Dey Elementary for my seventh year in first grade. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Upon graduation from college, I taught in Virginia Beach until starting my own family. My husband, John, and I have been married for over 23 years and have 3 children: Samantha (a sophomore at East Carolina University), Ashleigh (a senior at PAHS in the IB program), and Jack (an 8th grader at VBMS). Our dog, Sydney, is 4 years old. I stayed home for many years until returning to the school system about 8 years ago. I am passionate about teaching, and I am excited for a great year!
